JUBILEE – The Year Of Jesus’ Return

How do I know if I’m ready? God’s people of the last days have the following characteristics: – “they keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus” (Rev.14:12) – “they have the testimony of Jesus”, which is the “spirit of prophecy” (Rev.12:17;19:10). That is, they are obedient to God and have the revelation of end-time prophecies.

Why do we believe that Jesus will return in this next jubilee? Referring to His second coming, Jesus said: “of that day and hour no one knows” (Matt.24:36). But nothing said about the month and year. That’s because the Jews had these two pieces of information. Both were appointed in Jewish ceremonial. The ceremonial of the year of Jubilee prefigured the second coming of Christ, when men will be definitively freed from the bondage of sin, will repossess the garden of Eden and will find their relatives who died in faith, for Jesus will resurrect them.

In biblical language: “Thou shalt make the trumpet of the jubilee pass…and ye shall proclaim freedom in the land to all its inhabitants; year of jubilee shall be unto you, and ye shall return, every one to his possession, and every one to his family.” (Lev.25:8-10). The year of jubilee occurred every 49 years: “Thou shalt count seven weeks of years…forty-nine years. Jesus announced a year of Jubilee, when He began His ministry: “And when He reached Nazareth…he rose to read…when he opened the book, he found the place where it was written: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, for He has anointed Me to evangelize the poor. He sent Me…to preach freedom to the captives…to set free the oppressed, to announce the acceptable year of the Lord. And, closing the book…began to say to them, This Scripture is fulfilled today.”Luke 4:16-21.

The ministry of Jesus began in the year 27 AD Counting from there according to the criterion, every 49 years, we have that the last jubilee was in 1987 and the next one will be in 2036. Then the jubilee trumpet will sound. Are you preparing to meet Jesus? Because the current situation of men and society coincides with the characteristic of the last days presented in the Bible: “in the last days troubled times will come. ungrateful, profane, without natural affection, irreconcilable, slanderous, incontinent, cruel, without love for the good, traitors, obstinate, proud, more friends of delight than friends of God. (2 Tim.3:1-5). We are living in the appointed time.
